Announcement - Database update plans

the script to update the stats for the players is almost ready, once it is done we will update the database stats for both pes 2017 and 2018



How we update stats:

as you know there are too many players in the patch, updating them manually one by one will take forever, so we usually create scripts to convert to older versions

- first step is to decrypt the latest (players.bin) from pes 2019
- open the resulting file with excel
- remove and adjust the columns to fit the older version, for example pes 2019 have a column stats for goalkeepers stronger arm that we remove. otherwise the stats will be missed up.
- reset players with new styles, new stats have 21 player playing style comparing to 17 style in older game, players with style more than 17 have to be reset to 0, otherwise the game will crash
- next step is to to make this automatic by scripting the results to be done in excel, then the saved file will be encrypted to pes 2018 and 2017 database
- last step is to apply the new players stats in the edit file by resetting the players in the decrypted edit file so the new stats would be registered.


multiple tests have to be done during and after this procedure, to ensure no problems in the conversion process.

the new stats will be available in updates for both games sometime next week.
